The lesser-known 2005-07 Focus ST came with a 2.3 liter engine instead of the standard 2.0. The 1997 Probe GTS package was an appearance package for the standard GT.
History
Focus:
Purchased from a friend all the way across the country, flew out, drove it home, and learned how to drive a car with three pedals in the process.

Probe:
Bought from Copart with a Georgia salvage title due to minor rear-end damage. Currently trying to get it back on the road.

Modifications

Drivetrain
Focus:
The big 2.3 Duratec 4-cylinder that says Ford on it and totally isn't secretly a Mazda engine.
Alternator seems to be broken.

Probe:
A sweet 2.5 V6 that says Ford on it and totally isn't secretly a Mazda engine.
Interior
Focus:
Mint green shift knob adds 25 hp.

Probe:
A shift knob that glows blue in the dark, a replacement faceplate for the existing Kenwood radio, and this amazing zip-tie repair job on the storage tray in the door.
Exterior
Focus:
Aerodynamic "dents" to improve downforce. A newer ST logo on the grill, affixed by a previous owner.

Probe:
Weight reduction due to rear bumper being removed as well as tail lights. Currently being un-reduced.
Might be lowered, I can't tell for sure.
Audio
Focus:
Aftermarket radio with replacement faceplate from eBay to go in place of the cracked one.

Probe:
Aftermarket radio with no faceplate, can't use it or get it out of the dash, currently planning to buy every faceplate to ever exist and try them all until one fits/works. (Or not.) Update: found the model number, bought a faceplate (with entire radio attached b/c there were no faceplates by themselves on ebay) for $40 and I have a spare radio to put behind the faceplate if I ever need it.
Suspension
Focus:
stock ST suspension (stiffer than regular Focus suspension, but not as low as SVT Focus suspension)

Probe:
Yeah it's probably lowered I think
Wheel and Tire
Focus:
Got some SVT Contour 16" wheels to put on it someday if I feel less lazy

Probe:
Stock 16" "swirlie" wheels with optional chrome finish, with grass clippings stuck to them
