Back in tech training with the Air Force, I graduated and was being assigned to Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, TX. Considering I was training at Keesler in Biloxi and had no car, I cruised craigslist with the $1000 I had and found a '97 'Bird with a v8. I bought it that night with 190k on the odometer that admittedly was broken...I owned that car for 8 months and was bored with not being able to shift my own gears so I sold it for a Civic. Ever since then, I've wanted another.
