ok, you have to determine if you have a magnetic pickup on tee VSS, most likely you will, which may necessitate a Dallas Mustang SpeedCal. You will need to repin the connector, Big Scott has a revised pin-out diagram, and use theee 94 spec MLPS and TCC.

Can you put this in a way that even I could understand...? I am going to the yard tomorrow to pick up the parts off a 95 V8 LX. What should I get off that tranny?

You need to get the TCC solonoid out of your car and install it in the new one or you will fry the EEC. You will need to swap your gear driven VSS into the 01 which shouldn't be a problem as it should still have the slines on the output shaft even the hole is just plugged. Repin the connector and you are good to go. Tim who has an 02 GT trans

Do you want to do it the hard way or the other hard way?

The hard way is to swap the TCC and repin the wiring harness according to the diagrams here. http://forums.modulardepot.com/showthread.php?t=31261

The other hard way is to pull the valve bodies and swap the wiring harness case connectors and all the internal electronics from your old transmission to the new one. Either way get a new MLPS for your car.
