Puttin in an 01 GT trans. I re-did the pin set up so it worked with my 95 V8 harness. Guy working on my car calls today and says the connector from my harness won't fit into the GT trans. Is this possible? Do I need to use the GT tranny harness?

The main plug is supposed to be the same, just a different pin-out. Maybe he was referring to the MLPS connector. You should use the MLPS from the '95.

This isn't picture of the actual connector but it might give you an idea of what to look for.

alex i think i told you it was on the drivers side but im not too sure now that i think about it. im sure someone while chime in and let you know.

If you have a harness from a 95 re pined for the 98+ you should just get a 94-95 mlps and should be ok .

I got a 97 MLPS. Will this work with a 95 harness?

I am not sure if the plug is the same but you can get one from auto zone for a 95 cheap i have heard they work good or you can go to a parts store or call and see if its the same part number .

like i said before they are the same part number...i changed both of them on my old 95 and my new 97...good luck with that
