Its a 1995 tbird with 4.6 liter engine ,my manual says it is obd 2 compliant yet nowhere else is that written. Its not written on the engine or under the dash. does anyone know if that is correct and what protocol is required? Examples are below?

This reader supports all four OBD II protocols:

n SAE J1850 PWM

n SAE J1850 VPW

n ISO 9141-2

n ISO 14230 (KWP2000)

n Attention! - If your vehicle is 2003 or newer, it may require a CAN compatible reader

Yes, the 95 Tbird is "mostly" OBD compliant. I have used those code readers on my car.

open the hood and there should be a white sticker/label in the frame in front of the radiator.... it should tell you if its obdII compliant.
