I've never seen a v6 sport, but it has the right wheels, and the ride height looks right for a sport, but the only way to know for sure would be to see the spring code on the door jamb sticker.

I might go take a peek if in the area, or Email the seller.

I am much much more interested in 572 hp and under 10 seconds in the quarter (at 3,000 elevation) from cams and arp head studs. http://tucson.craigslist.org/cto/4023991120.html

I've seen a few V6 sport Cougars, no Tbirds though.

There was a 97 that was perpetually showing up on autotrader a few years ago that was performance white, blue interior with rubber steering wheel/shifter, sport package, V6, with under 10k miles IIRC. That may just be the rarest MN12 in terms of options you could get.

I just took a cup holder off a 1997 Cougar XR7 v6 at an LKQ u-pull, yesterday!
So yes, I've seen them.

BTW, it had the JJJJ springs too!
