Does anyone know if a 2000 F250 5.4 engine with pi heads will work in my 1999 F350 4x4 with a 5.4 non PI heads

Do I have to use the computer of the donor engine or will my computer work?
Do all the plugins match
If my computer isnt exact can I use some type of super chip to overcome the problem .
My engine date is 06-19-98
If anyone has any information it would be apretiated

Theyll bolt right on, your computer will handle them.

So my pcm will work on a newer engine with PI heads ..
isnt the timing different etc ?

I have swapped an NPI Tbird motor for a PI explorer motor and have 125,000 on it now with the 94 PCM. As long as your MAF is working it will be able to adjust for the extra airflow. You may be able to get more out of it with a tune but the stock computer will work fine. I'm not that familiar with the F350 does it use coil packs or coil on plug

There is a coil over each plug.
How was the wiring for all the sensors ?
Doesnt the pcm module control the transmission also ?
Ive heard some people also could not get rid of engine light after

Yes the PCM also controls the trans. When swapping the motor just think of it like a long block and use all your existing sensors and wiring. I have never had an issue with a check engine light
