Theres a 1999 Crown vic in the junk yard. I hear the 99 valve body is better. Will it work on my 96 trans? What all will I need to take from the donor car to do the valve body swap.

Why is it better?

Thanks in advance.

I can't explain what ALL is better about it, however I know the design is slightly superior and some spring pressures changed. The 99 trans will have rubber bonded accumulators where your trans MIGHT not, but probably does.

The 99 Unit would have to be retro fitted with the WIRE HARNESS solenoids obviously.

My 96 trans has been J-modded with the updated rubber bonded accumulator...

Maybe I should grab that 99 valve body!
