Well the tensioner parts are here as of yesterday so the plan is to try and get this thing repaired and put back together over the weekend!.. Unfortunately we won't have time to get it together and get anymore dyno or track tuning completed prior to our JBMN/SB event coming up next weekend so we'll just have to go with what we have.

I suppose we'll see how it does next weekend on its pursuit to get it fully tuned both on the dyno and the track tune!

Just to update the build on the car. The tensioner issue was repaired and a couple changes made prior to the JBMN/SB event. Test and tune Saturday nite during JBMN/SB netted some new bests of 12.50's at around 109. During the All Ford Event on Sunday the car went a 12.48 at 109+ as some that were in attendance saw(DA up to 3200+)
. Of course that was in Hot air at Mason Dixon so we still have more to do.

Last nite the 1Mtncat came off the trailer with another minor change and ran a new best of 12.31 at 111.47. With a little driving change the car then ran a 12.21 at 111+ and the best pass of 12.187 at 111.77 MPH.

Still some tuning issues to address with shift points and launching the car with all the new bracing installed along with a final tune on the dyno to optimize the tune which we haven't finished yet.

We'll see where it goes in the coming months and at different tracks!

Been busy the last couple weeks and not much completed on the car. Did get the PI convertor sent, restalled and sent back and have it in the car. Received the upgraded halfshafts but yet to get them installed. Hopefully sometime soon.

Painted the wiper arms and installed the new wiper blades. Power antenna stopped working so I need to find one of those as well. Need to get new brake pads put on the car too. Hopefully find time in the next couple weeks to get it on the track and have Chris get some more track tuning completed on the car.

Not much to add until this past weekend. As I stated convertor is in the car but have not yet put the new half shafts in. I did however head down to MIR raceway in southern Md the past weekend for their FORD show/racing event. Chris didn't get an opportunity to do anything much with the tuning due to competition classes running both days, and him running the Marauder. but did make a minor change that helped some.

Regardless, the car pulled a best 1/4 mile pass of 12.053 ET at 113.83 MPH on one pass along with several 12.05, 12.06, and 12.07 passes on the weekend. 60 ft's in the 1.70-1.73 range all weekend as well. Red lit one round and was knocked out, Broke out on a pass and knocked out. Also pulled an .004 light one round and did fairly well but just not consistant with the lights it seems.

All in all, New bests on the new Naturally aspirated 4.6 4V build with more to come. Hopefully get another opportunity or two before fall ends in some more decent air and give Chris a chance to make further improvements on the tune.

Also Congrats go out to Ralph Graul who took home a 1st place trophy Saturday in the car show with his Blue SC. Was nice seeing some of you guys there.

They local to you? are they online?
Thanks CD's! I hate it when people beat around the bush and don't directly provide their source!

BTW, They're local to me. 😁 One of the bennies of living in the Motorsports capital of the USA!

I bought and put a set of those on my car about 10 years ago. They're the best half-shafts you can get for a MN12.

Has anyone had luck having a local shop recreate or improve the shafts? Just seems like a lot of money for half shafts. (I know, cheaper than breaking stuff)

Edit: reason I ask is I have a driveshaft company close by. Not sure if they do this, or not.

Drive shafts and half-shafts are different animals. The DSS Half-shafts are expensive because they're a very high quality part from the best company around that makes them. To my knowledge you're not going to find an equivalent or better MN12 half-shaft for a better price anywhere else.

Edit: Ask the shop near you if they can build these. I'd be interested in their answer and their price if they can make them.

After a 16 hour day, I guess I didn't exactly read the post correctly. None the less I went on line when I got mine Ron. And No they are not close to me. I had them shipped.
Sorry for any confusion to CD's in my response.

I understand those long days Steve! Hang in there! I’m flying home tomorrow from Missouri on a redeye flight that’s boarding at 5:25 AM and is wheels up at 6 AM. I have an 18 hour layover at home before I have to leave for Texas on Sunday.

I ordered mine from their website as well. Even though they are close, It’s not like I drove up there and picked them up. Congrats on the upgrade. They are purdy … as car parts porn goes. 😆

I realize I missed putting the Sep 10th dyno pulls Chris tuned and the car made. For those that are interested they are being posted up now. This is of course on the 4.6L (+.020 283 CI) 4V Naturally aspirated, through an automatic car as most of us have. Will complete dyno and track tuning in the spring!

Nice! ~300hp NA, thru an auto. I like these transmissions, now that I have a handle on them.

I'm hoping to reach that 400 WHP mark but if not its going to be close. 27 HP to go! We'll see next year.

Well over the winter I'm going to try to make a couple more upgrades.

I'm now considering an ignition upgrade to coil on plug (COP) and possibly putting a bar in the car over the winter. I guess we'll see what transpires as the winter progresses.

Everyone have a safe winter and holiday season!

I will update as things progress.
