Hello all,

I am looking to see which aftermarket camshaft would work the best with a stock Explorer PI motor.
By that I mean, best hp/torque combination without having to worry about Piston-To-Valve clearance issues.

As far as other upgrades go, I have a torque converter from a 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII, a rebuilt 4r70w transmission with the J-Mod, an aluminum driveshaft, and a 3.73 limited slip rear end.

I was leaning towards the Comp Cams XE274H grind, but I wasn't sure if it would be too aggressive.

Let me know what you would recommend for my current setup.

My son and I bought cams from Modular Head Shop. They have several of their own grinds that comp cams makes for them. Might be helpful to give them a call.

Nick was a great guy; I support MHS as much as possible. Much less expensive than MMR.

You should talk to your tuner; after all, he's the one that has to make it idle.
