Will it work on my 97 4.6L? He said he purchased it for his 96 mustang but it wouldnt work on it. Just wondering if someone could help me out? Do I have to get the 2001 intake?

Thanks,

well not if don't do a pi swap, that's a pi intake and your 97 has a non pi intake. the runners are longer and different from your 97.

If you haven't thought of doing the swap, i'd recommend it

For those that are interested found 2004 intakes off of GT Mustangs for $175 and that includes $25 for shipping.

Thanks,

I don't know what was wrong with the guy with the stang, but I've got a PI intake on my 97... the car pulls to 5000+ just like it does around 3500 stock. The powerband just keeps going.

Look at kdanner and JL's threads on this over at modulardepot to see how they made the first one. Thats pretty much how I made mine.

yeah, you have the same engine as him. The only reason it wouldn't work on his car is because he doesn't have a clue.

See my advice to you in KD's FS ad.
