Does anyone know or believe that it would be possible to get a 2bbl carb rebuild kit from a ford dealer for an 80 bird? I already got one from the aftermarket but it did not have all the correct gaskets. I have the number off of the carb but that didn't get me the right gaskets either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You should be able to get it directly from any dealer. (rock auto lists the motorcraft part # as D9PZ9A586JA)

Contact Jason at the Ford Parts Counter in the Parts for sale section.

Ford lists them by the carb tag number. Since you have that, Jason or whomever at a dealer should be able to order it (as long as it hasn't been discontinued).

would you beleieve I had a Brand new carb 2bbl from a 4.2L that I just threw in the trash because I figured nobody in hell would need such a thing! LOL
