a friend of mine has about 10k miles on these gears but wants to put 3.73s. the ring i know will fit bc its from another 8.8 rear end but will the pinoin have the same spline count? he has a 2002 f150 w/ 5.4.
Yes going from 3.55 to 3.73 is almost pointless, but this guy isn't the one spending the money now is he. What is your stock gear? If it's 3.08, it might be worth yuor time and money to have this researched a little further, but if you've got the 3.27s like I do, you won't notice much of a difference from what various guys here have told me. I just plan on keeping my 3.27s personally.
