I am trying to figure out what to do with my 63 Falcon Futura 2 door sedan.

It currently has a non running 302/289 with a C4 (however it was originally a 144/170 inline 6 with a manual transmission). It had either 90 or 101 HP stock.

I am trying to find the weights of the fully dressed engines from our cars, as I don't know what direction to go. I don't really need a race car, I would like it to be quick but mainly one that I can just drive.

So how much does the 3.8 NA in my 89 Cougar weigh? How much for the 3.8SC, and the 302 HO? I think with as light as the car should be, a 2.3 from a TC would also be a good candidate, I think a split port V6 from a Mustang might be even better.

I really would like to do the 4.6 SOHC but I don't want to cut out the shock towers and convert it to a Mustang II front end.

I don't think the 3.8 out of my 89 Cougar revs high enough to be a fun engine for it, but I am sure it revs higher than the inlines did.
