I have an 89 sc and I bent my connecting rods so i decided to go to a 5.0 because I have one available. What all do I need for this little project? (tranny, computer, wiring harness, etc.?)

uh, why would you wanna down grade to the 5.0? the sc makes more power, torque, and better gas milage. And yes, you would need all of that stuff.

and the 5.0 is more reliable, has cheaper and more abundant aftermarket, and is easier to work on (or so i am told). imo, 5.0 > sc.

what year 5.0 do you have and what is it out of?

its out of a 93 H.O mustang GT. I know it goes against the rules of the thunderbird but I've worked on the sc engine... and its horrible. When a ford dealership quotes plugs and wires for 4.5 hours... thats when you know you have a problem.
