You're supposed to fill it to the bottom of the threaded hole, I think. I think it takes about 6 ounces to fill it that much. GM sells it in 4 ounce bottles.

Yup, 6 ounces to the bottom of the threads for a complete fill.

The GM stuff is good for 30k miles, but its less expensive.

If you can get the Ford stuff its up to 100k miles.

What is your reason for the oil change ?

It just seems necessary since its off the engine and it looks low. When I repainted it, some leaked through the snout so that is probably why it is low

Snout seal is pretty cheap and easy to replace, if you have a good enough puller to get the pulley off without destroying it.

But you can also lose oil internally, through the rotor pack front seals.

I also noticed oil inside the cooler tubes and intakes, so that doesn't surprise me. The car has 92,*** on it
Might as well throw a solid coupler into the SC if you're replacing the seal and changing fluid. If it doesnt already have one.

Oil inside the lower air charge tube / intercooler is common. Engine oil gets vaporized and pulled through the intake / PCV, when it cools down in the IC, it condenses and collects in the bottom / lower tube. Considered normal in the Ford service manual, but there are many out there who have an oil seperator in the vacuum hose. I never bothered to install one.

Most of the time the SC oil comes out through the snout seal before the rotors, but the oil inside your IC is most likely engine oil.
