I've got everything ready for my build but I just want to be sure about a few things before I begin assembling the block. The guy at the machine shop who has built 347's thought I might need to notch it for clearance but my research had led me to believe otherwise. I've got Eagle I-beam rods that are 5.4" for a 3.25" crankshaft stroke. So do I need to notch or not?
My next question is regarding getting the block notched if I do need to get it done. I was reading on another forum that a guy was able to notch a B50 block using a dremel drill. Can this be done? I'd much rather do it myself than pay $100 to have the machine shop do it. Thanks for the input
