ouch, thats a problem right there. the 89 and your 4.6 have different trannies. you will need the 89's tranny, too. swapping that over and making it work will be a bigger PITA.

you'd be best off getting a transmission from a 94 or 95 SC auto. that will pose the least problems, but it'll be a major PITA.

just buy some car from the junkyard thats small and light and put the SC motor in it. could be a fun project that way instead of never having yer v8 again

Why the hell anyone would want to swap to 2 less cylinders is beyond me. There's NO replacement for displacement.
Agreed! :uppoint:

It would probably be cheaper to put a blower on the 4.6 and have it that way instead of putting in a 3.8 SC. Not flaming anybody, just making a suggestion! :)

nope. the SC blower is made to bolt up to a 3.8 lower intake.
The Eaton M90 is an Eaton M90. Your biggest problem would be the fact that you have no manifold to mount the M90 onto the 4.6 engine. Unless you're into custom fabbing your own sheetmetal intake. Personally I wouldn't bother attempting the swap. The tranny won't bolt up, the electronics won't work, several other things will need to be changed in order to make it all work. With the time and money involved you're better off just modding the 4.6 v8 engine.
