1997 Thunderbird 4.6L:
I pulled my dying starter and I'm replacing it with a known good starter from a 95 Thunderbird 4.6L. On the solenoid from the 95, there is a spade connector to the ground. On my 97 its a post connector. Any tips or advice on how to adapt this to work?

Cut the connector off the wire, and solder/heatshrink the correct connector onto the wire.

Umm sure but if a $.15 connector will get you where you need to be why mess with the possibly bad part. PS I'd rather have a post and a nut any day over a spade.
