I'm swapping a '93 5.0L in to my '90 3.8. I haven't gotten the motor out of my '90 yet, but I noticed that the down pipes on the 5.0 looked a lot like the setup on my 3.8. Are they the same? That is, will the V6 exhaust bolt up to the V8 manifolds? I have a pretty nice 2.5" exhaust system on the '90 already, I'm hoping to reuse as much (all?) of it as possible.

Also, the passenger side O2 sensor on the 5.0 is in the exhaust pipe instead of the manifold. I can't remember if it's like this on the V6 or not. Anyone remember?

Yup, even the cat's are the same. usually the V6 only has 2 cat's. But you will have to weld in a bung for the O2 unless you remove the EGR tube on the exhaust manifold and put the O2 in there.

put the dual exhaust on it or you'll choke it
