I think you need to worry about a TC with a 8 Bolt Flexplate. Might as well go PI.

I bought the Mustang GT flexplate, the MarkVIII should work too.

Here's the scoop. I just had my tranny blow a cooler line and toasted everything. I bought a complete tranny, converter and flexplate off a 99 GT. The Tbirds have a 6 bolt crank. Therefore the new flexplate was no good. Next issue, the mustang torgue converters are smaller in diameter and NO the bolt pattern is not the same. NO you can't just drill your old flexplate due to a stamped ridge which keeps the nut from seating. All that trouble re-configuring the connector and the J-Mod and it doesn't work. I think the torque converter is the culpret.

just get a 6 bolt Mk. or GT flexplate. The Stang TC will bolt right up to it. The Marauder TC is also 11.25inches so a Mk. flexplate will work with it.
