A buddy of mine just got a 87 5.0 thunderbird. It runs and starts just fine. But it drains the batter fast. We got looking for a humming noise it was making and found out the fuel pump was not shutting off. I have read that is could be a stuck or bad relay. But we cant find where it is located. Can any one tell me where it is or if there is any thing else that could be causing this problem.

1987 Mustang Fuel Pump Relay Location

EDIT: Oops, I screwed the pooch on that one. You asked for a 1987 THUNDERBIRD.

On a 2.3 turbo thunderbird, and the most i know is there is a "pink, black" wire that is the main power, to find that, you access the trunk and bolted behind the seat is 2 metal boxes, undo those and you should be able to find the wire and follow it to the relay

The relay should be under the driver seat on the floor its a little black box with a plug on one end.
