Yea I Have To Do It. Its Has A Bit Of A Leak Right At The Front Of The Pan From Where Somebody Over Tightened The Bolts And Plus Age. Im Really Not Looking Foward To This One. But I Did Get The Gasket From Here At Work From For So I Dont Have The Problem With The Gasket Squishing Out When I Thighten It. Its One Of Them One Peice Gaskets That Has The Metal Inserts In It. Oh Well....any Body Have Any Tips. I Know Im Gonna Have To Drop The Craddle Out From Under The Front End, But Is There Any Other Tips Anyone Could Offer To Help Me Get This Thing Done Quicker????

You don't have to raise the engine much to install it. You may not have to raise it at all if the mounts sit high. If you raise the engine and place 2x4 blocks under the mounts it will definitely be easier. I have never removed a pan because of a pan gasket. That would require complete engine removal.

Disconnect the battery.

Drain the oil.

Remove the dipstick?- I actually don't remember if it is in the way.

Take off the starter and anything else in the way.

Remove pan bolts.

Cut the old gasket and remove it. Drag the gasket toward the outside to keep dirt out of the engine.

Slide the new gasket over the oil pan. If it is a Felpro the snap-ups help hold it in place.

Use a small amount of silicone at the 4 corners and bolt it up.

Well The Motor Will Be Coming Out Of The Car In The Near Future So If It Doesnt Completly Stop The Leak But At Least Slows It Down A Good Amout Ill Be Happy. Im Just Trying To Get Ti To Where Im Not Leaving A Bunch Of Oil On The Drive Way One Because I Hate It And Two Because Of The Motorcycles Coming In And Out. And No It Isnt The Felpro Gasket It Came From Ford Cause I Work At A Lincoln/mercury Dealership So I Got It From Here.
