Just for the record the driveshaft that I had in the classifieds is a one piece aluminum shaft from a 93 Mk VIII, the transmission yoke on the MK VIII shaft was different from a 97 Thunderbird shaft that they had that was bent so I bought the bent shaft for the end, I put new NAPA part no. 270 Superstrength u - joints in it because they are anticorrosion coated & have the grease fitting in the end of the caps, I also had it checked for straightness and professionally balanced. The freight was $20.00 for U. P. S. ground, and I paid $5.00 for a special heavy duty shipping tube to ensure its safety. The following is a breakdown of what I have in this shaft: $60.00 for used MK VIII shaft, $45.99 for 2 NAPA #270 u - joints, $5.00 for T - Bird trans yoke, and $40.00 for balancing, thats a total of $150.99. I don't feel that I am too high wanting to "Get my investment back!", and these prices do not include a trip of 45 miles one way to the driveshaft shop!
Just for the record, sorry for the length of this post!
