Looking for info on replacing the headlights with non-T-bird lights, i.e. round/square/rectangular.

Sorry, I'm cheap, don't want to pay the $190/pair for OEM glass. :D

Who's done it, what problems, solutions?

Thanks muchly!

Go to ebay, I've seen sets for as low as a little over $100. Or talk to Big Mike, he sells used headlights all cleaned up for $60 with core return. Just an FYI, this probably should've been put into the exterior forum.

I want to put normal lights on, where I can go to NAPA or Kragens or other auto parts stores and replace the things, rather than pay TDM (too damned much) for them.

I've done the "Polish the fade away" routine, and it came back. I want good cheap glass replacements.

Any ideas, folks? Nobody's done this before?

I think by the time you figured in a way to mount the headlights and be able to aim them, you wouldn't be saving that much $$ off of just buying new headlights. You've got 94-95 lights, $60 for Big Mike to clean em up, all the yellow, old glue, fading, etc, gone. Throw some polish/wax on em from there and they'll be good to go

or you can ditch those yellow lights and go ahead on the 96+ headlight conversion. makes it look soo much cleaner. search for that if your interested.

These guys are right, it will be a pain in the a$$ to get them to fit and looks are something of its own. Sorry to say, but if you are willing to spend the time and money to get something "cheaper" to fit you might as well do the swap. I think the shelf life for the 96-7 is longer than the 94-5's (if taken care of properly).

Geezzz... :D

For something that should be fairly straightforward, this is getting ridiculous.

I have no intention of swapping a hood, front end, etc. just so I can put in some headlights. I'm a full-time student, with zero income. Can't afford to do it that way.

On the other hand, I hate being blind at night. And the yellowed lights are worthless for good night vision.

So.... Which brand/store, etc. is a good source for quality '94 replacements? I've seen a couple on eBay, any to stay away from?

Thanks in advance, guys!

I'd see what dan can do first.

Your not going to find glass headlamps, they were phased out long ago.

Hey I have a passenger corner lamp that is brand new that I bought for my bird that I don't need anymore... I bought it on ebay for the 26.95 plus the $9 shipping... If you want it, I'll give it to you for 20 and 5 for shipping... That will save you a couple bucks if you really want it...

So, these sites on eBay are not real t-bird lights that would work?

I'm asking for good info, not trying to be a pain, ok? But I don't want to swap hoods, etc. just to put in good headlights.

Look man, I'm not trying to be a d!ck or anything. These are the same thing you already have. I thought you wanted "glass" replacements. I would save some $$ if I were you and get with BigMike.
