Are the 94+ SC headgaskets much better? Thats what I've heard and just wanting confirmation on that. I'm picking up a 94SC auto which is why I really want to know. While the owner selling to me says the enigine and tranny are really strong and reliable, I like extra assurance.

Gaskets are the same.
The heads themselves are cast differently which makes them more dense.
94/95 has bigger Fuel injectors, and Coated rotors in the Supercharger with the square outlet.
Rods are slightly better in the engine.

duh duh. so thats what i really meant then. do the gaskets seal up any better with the 94+ heads? thx for the info.

They seal exactly the same if they are installed correctly.
As long as you dont have excessive cylinder pressure you should be fine.
Theres no way of avoiding electrolisys and the expansion properities of aluminum heads on an iron block. Just make sure the coolant has been changed frequently.
The denser material in the heads help in some aspects but are still prone to the same conditions as the earlier heads.

Gaskets were improved as well, AFAIK. Ford shows a different part number for them than the earlier cars. I believe that they are equivalent to the replacement Fel-Pro gaskets for the 89 - 93 engine.

Fel Pro Head gaskets are the same part # for the 89-93 and 94/95's if they have been or need to be replaced later ..

You're right but 89-93 came with regular gaskets from factory and 94-95 came with Fel-pro gaskets from factory.
