There's a 96 at the local u pull it yard and I was wondering what i needed off of it to upgrade to the 96-97 specs. In the tech article for the PI head swap there is a list for the additional parts needed for a 94-95 swap. Is this everything that I would need?

I'm not doing the PI swap I just want to upgrade. I figured it would give me a little bit more power.

This is what I saw in the PI head swap tech article

Additional parts needed for 1994-1995 Model Year t-Bird/Cougar

fuel rail/manifold
egr valve
egr tube
vac line harness
accelerator bracket
iac valve
iac gasket
pcv valve & tube
t'stat housing

and I'm assuming the throttle body and intake tube to get rid of the violin case

But will this be everything?

If you are going to go to all that much trouble, why don't you just find some PI heads and intake? Cost a little more but definitely worth it.

I may get around to the PI swap eventually but this is all stuff that has to be replaced on the 95 for the swap anyway.

I thought I could pick it up from the junkyard while I can get it cheap.

Be careful with junkyard intakes from 96/97. They might already be cracked.

The PI article doesn't include the fuel lines which is a must if you want to do this swap.
I don't think you can get them from the dealership anymore but i might be wrong.
