I already got me another 4r70w form the wrecking yard for $111.00 with a 30day exchange so I hope its a good one..

My back is killing me. I pulled it my self and it's a ***** to pull. But I got it after 4 long hours of unbolting and unhooking everything...

The one in my car is making a grinding sound and locking up in reverse and clunking acting up. And the fluid looks glittery under sun light.. I'm sure it's only the transmission...

Its not trying to die or anything so I think/hope my torque converter is ok.
it was not slipping or anything before...

should my torque converter be ok if I flush it out along with the cooling system?

The yard you got it from should have included the converter with the trans.

It would be near impossible to totally flush out a converter from a grenaded trans and is something I wouldn't risk IMHO.

I agree. I would buy a new/reman TC and call it done. Do you really want to go through the effort of swapping another trans. due to the old TC tearing it up? Cheap ins. if you ask me.

Almost all 2nd failures are the result of carrying over contamination from the first failure.

If you don't mind the work to replace it again because you reused a contaminated torque converter then have at it. It will probably make it 30 days too, so plan on the cost of another transmission while you are at it.

Why don't you message dirtyd0g on here about the price of a stock torque converter to see how foolish this is.
