OK..gonna order rims for my Bird..17s..and I am guessing its 5x108 is the bolt spacing, 17x9 work well or do I need 17x8s? Also, the companys I deal with dont list a 5x108..mainly 5x100 and 5x114.3 so what do I do? Can I use adapters and where would you get them? Any help would be great..thanks!

I can get nice rims/tires for 600 or so..so I am wondering about spacing and adaptors. I am selling my Bird so I figgured new rims and tires might aid in the sell. Anyone have any ideas?

You won't get that money back when you sell your car. Just sell it as is and you will be better off. Just my .02

Didnt say I would get the price of the rims back..said it would aid in the sell. As in "car is shiny and has sweet rims..I will take it" factor. Easier to sell when they look nicer, might get my 3500 asking price (95 V8, full power, perfect body cept for a scuff on the bumper, 114k, clean as heck, all synthetic, new plugs/wires/filter, ect) so who knows!

I agree, there you could. But the price is all in the market like we all know, I will get 3500, maybe a bit more, as its a great car. Hate to sell it but I have other plans..just need to figgure this rim thing out. I contacted some of the rim distributors we use about custom wheel drilling, so who knows!:ztoohot:

There are plenty of rims out there for 5x108/40mm, you just have to decide what style wheels you want, and then look for them. They are just listed as FWD rims most of the time.

I don't know...I've gotta agree with Miller, regardless of how nice the car may end up looking. You'll never be able to re-coup the outlay for the rims. Unless someone GIVES you a nice set, I'd stick with what you've got. Buuuut...its your money!
Either way, good luck!
