I've got a 94 thats getting ready to be painted and I want to switch to the newer (and much nicer) 96/97 style door handles.

I ran a search and read the tech article, but I'm still not quite sure about everything that needs to be done.

From what I read the 96/97 handles WONT work with my current locks, meaning I need to use the 96/97 locks and a 96/97 ignition cylinder.

I just want to confirm this, and also ask what people who have done the swap did to make the 96/97 parts work? Did you get new keys? How?

You can re-use your old lock cylinders. I have checked this with Jason (Ford parts counter).

I have a 94 & have been thinking about doing this swap. Will the lock light up as it does now after the swap?
