Well, Dunno what happened, doesn't look like the hood got shut all the way? Well now it won't open. It looks like it's popped but not opened but the lever doesn't move. Upon getting up in there with a flashlight I see the latch and the "F" shaped piece of metal. The hood is resting on the top of the "F" instead of the middle. Prying up and jumping down doesn't work, anyone got any ideas?

Any bolts you can get to? I don't think you can remove the grill without opening the hood. Might be able to if it's not shut all the way.

It's not shut all the way, I can get a crowbar to the latch but I can't move that "F" shaped piece of metal. Assuming I can get the grille off, what do I need to do?

yeah that's what i thought it was. can you get somebody to pull the release while you attempt to move it up and down? it might help, it's in a bad bind, other than that beat the crap outta it with the prybar.

sd, you might be able to remove the 2, 8 mm screw that hold the latch on thru the grill. you wont be sucessful in the removing the grille with the hood down, theres screws all long the top edge of the grille

Same one rancherlee is on. www.fullsizebronco.com which is the same as the F-150, mostly. As far as this is concerned. Then there's the Centurion, which is the F-Series with an extra row of seating and a Bronco cab grafted on the back. Kinda like the Suburban to the Tahoe/Blazer.

I just thought maybe it'd be close to mine, which gives full access to the latch:

SD can you whack the F shaped latch towards the passenger side? Maybe the cable is bound? Lay on the ground and look up from underneath if possible. The secondary mechanism could also be the culprit. I'll check my 95 in the morning when it's light out if that'll help.

On my truck I have to push the hood down and pull the lever. But my "F" points to the other side.

Yeah, that's how you open the hood when it's not stuck. lol The lever in the grill hasn't even sprung back to be able to be moved though, and the hood doesn't budge.

Try this:
Have one person open the latch from inside the rig.
Have someone else move the hood to the driverside as much as they can while pullling up.

10mm bolts and yes, yes I was. :D The back latch that you release from the grill had gotten bent back and was hanging up the hood.
