Mark has about 80hp on the birds with torque to match, so umm...Mark.

A stock 96 Mark VIII should definitely take a stock 96 MN12.

But a Gen II (97-98) Mark VIII would barely take a 96 MN12. Even though the Gen II's have more hp and torque, they are usually a little slower than the Gen I's. :bawling:

Hey!!! I went 14.7 in my Gen II with just wheels and tires (street radials). :zdunno:

As have I (14.8), but usually it is in the low 15's, whereas the majority of the Gen I's I’ve read about are almost always in the very low 15’s or the upper 14's, bone stock.

But that is just the general consensus from a lot of different sources concerning the Mark VIII’s: Gen I’s are faster than the Gen II’s by just a hair. :(

my mark did 15 flat on bad tires first time I ran it. Stock for stock, bird doesn't have a chance.
