Okay as promised in my looking for a hood thread. With all the wind we've had this spring and the new bed for my truck standing on end in my storage are where I keep the car in the winter and truck in the summer I had an "issue"

Believe it or not the windshield took the worst of it. The hood got a small dent so that will be easily fixed and I won't need a hood after all. At first I didn't think it even got the fenders but after I got it out and cleaned up it did, nothing major but I am going to sand and respray the fenders. I haven't done the hood or bumper cover yet so procrastination has it's perks  On a good note it looks like plugging up the holes on the back of the inner rockers seems to keep the mice out. I also got these this week.

Now I can think about getting my Mark VIII LCA's on this year. The engine swap has been put off for this year. I have too much stuff going on. I need to get my truck painted which would mean I would put the bed on so it won't fall on anything else

I spy with my wittle eyes a set of vogtlands! I would nearly kill to be able to get new springs and front struts. I may not know much but it looks like yourMn12 is pretty darn evasive, looks like it could've been way worse. I'm glad it seems like an easy fix for you I hope all goes accordingly.

Yea I still don't know how it didn't do more damage. It will be pretty easy to fix it just sucks that I painted the fenders last fall and now have to redo them just to get back where I was :frown2:

Not much new on the car this year. I did get my remote fuel door button hooked up :grin2: No more having to open the trunk to get gas.

On a side note I did get to work on something others may be interested in :cool::cool::cool: Put in an inconel exhaust. The exhaust was over $4,000 :eek: it cost more than most of our cars did.

Also had this happen this summer.

Didn't even realize what had happened I heard a noise and felt a clunk on the underside of the car, stopped and looked around didn't see anything got back in started up and ran fine went to work. When I went to lunch I turned the air on and the belt was squealing thought I had lost a compressor so I started tearing the car apart to replace it. I had a new condenser and hoses already I was going to replace everything when I put the new engine in. I didn't notice until I had most of it apart that the pulely was gone. It had thrown the outer pulley off the damper without losing the belt :eek:. On a side note what is everybody running for a good damper? I had a Dorman replacement I put on for now but I think I would like to get something a little better when I put the Explorer engine in.

As promised some pics of the bumper cover.

Old cover removed. I painted the steel bumper behind the grill satin black. I always hated the white showing back there.

One with the cover on.

Just came across this post. Where did you get your seat redone? I need to find a shop to re-cover my driver's seat. What kind of place was it so I can try to find one locally?

The interior shop at work did my seats for me. You should be a ble to find an upholstery shop to do it. It probably won't be cheap though. Let me know what happens. Mike

Hi guys No updates on the cat just been enjoying driving a shiny straight car for awhile. Just thought I would post a couple of pics of what I'm working on now. My 01 PSD CC LB I bought new is getting alot rusty so time for an update. I picked up a complete 06 cab from Tx and an 11 take off bed so for well under $10,000 I can have what will be a new to me rust free truck that will continue to keep the Cougar rust free and shiny :grin2:
