I got the engine and tranny out of a '97 Crown Vic PI and my stock tranny just crapped the bed. I have the Vic engine in the car now and have for about a year, but are there any problems I am going to encounter or things I need to do to install the Vic's transmission? I want to do the J-Mod, transgo shift kit, new accumulator pistons, new b&m cooler and a MK8 TC (or PI if I can afford it) also.

Also is anyone aware of a shop that will do the J-mod in Texas?

Thanks

The J-Mod is not much more than a shift kit.

Establish a relationship with a tranny shop that you can trust.

They will have no trouble doing this "J-Mod" to your tranny.

I took the three Tech Articles on the tranny to my local tranny shop, and they charged me $100 in labor to do the work. I provided the parts, including a pre-drilled separator plate that I got from "The-Man" himself.
