I saw an interesting used car posting.

1997 body/car in better than average condition.
Blown engine. (Rod?)
And 1991 car with 5.0 engine. Engine good, body is dented, paint is bad, and sunroof rust damage.
MUST TAKE BOTH AT SAME TIME.

The 1997 is originally a 4.6.

The 1991 is a 5.0 (as I said).

...

The frankenstein question...is can a 5.0 go into a 1997 (originally) 4.6 bird?
(or is it too much hassle?)

My 4.6 knowledge is pretty weak.

Thanks for any info.

Yes a 5.0 can go into a 94+ car that originally had a 4.6L or even a 3.8L. Basically a 5.0L will fit into any MN12. All that is needed are the motor mounts from a 93 5.0L car and then use a 5.0L oil pan from an MN12. The rest is wiring, figuring out the transmission, and getting the right driveshaft.
