ok , heres the deal , i installed a shifter boot and had to unplug the o/d plug to get the shifter all the way off . got everything back together and turned the key on to see if i had enough range of motion for the shifter and i hit the o/d puttin to see if it still worked and the damn blower motor came on and is blowing full blast , NOTHING on the control panel works , turn the key on and off and still the same . WTF!! please help , thanks

check the memory fuse located in the engine compartment. (primary fuse panel)
It is the normal for the blower to be at full speed when that fuse is blown.

thanks ill check that out , hope fully that is it , i went to the ford place and they said a new control panel is 257.00:eek:

From the 1995 Service Manual:

PINPOINT TEST F: BLOWER MOTOR OPERATES IN HIGH SPEED ONLY

F1 CHECK BLOWER OPERATION
Turn ignition switch to RUN position, A/C damper door switch to FLOOR and heater blower motor switch to LO.
Does blower motor operate?
Yes
GO to F5.

No
GO to F2.


F2 CHECK BLOWER SWITCH
Slowly move heater blower motor switch from LO to HI. Stop at each detent and check for blower motor operation.
Does blower motor operate in any speed except HI?
Yes
GO to F4.

No
GO to F3.


F3 CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT
Check Circuit 57 (BK) from heater blower motor switch resistor to ground for an open.
Is ground wire open?
Yes
SERVICE and/or REPLACE as required.

No
REPLACE heater blower motor switch resistor .


F4 CHECK CIRCUIT
Check Circuit 261 (O/BK) between blower motor and heater blower motor switch resistor for open.
Is circuit open?
Yes
SERVICE as necessary and CHECK blower motor operation.

No
REPLACE heater blower motor switch resistor .


F5 CHECK BLOWER SWITCH
Check blower motor operation several times in each blower knob position.
Does blower motor operate in all knob positions without interruption?
Yes
CHECK system operation in all function positions and blower speeds. If OK, INSTRUCT owner on correct operation of system.

No
GO to F6.


F6 CHECK BLOWER MOTOR SWITCH CONTINUITY
Remove harness connector from heater blower motor switch and check continuity through heater blower motor switch in each position.

BLOWER SWITCH CONTINUITY Switch Position Continuity Between Terminals
LOW 2
MEDIUM 1 2 and 3
MEDIUM 2 2, 4 and 3
HIGH 2, 1 and 4

Based on the diagram, if you orient the the blower switch so that you can see the terminals, position the switch so the the "T" shaped molding is at the bottom, and you see the molding as an upright capital T. With that orientation, Pin 1 is in the upper right (or one o'clock position), Pin 2 is counterclockwise to the left, Pin 3 is in the opposite corner from Pin 1 (lower left), and Pin 4 is opposite of Pin 2 (lower right).


Is switch continuous in all positions?
Yes
CHECK continuity of Circuits 754 (LG/W) and 752 (Y/R) between heater blower motor switch and heater blower motor switch resistor . SERVICE as required.

No
REPLACE heater blower motor switch .
