I have a 94 Mark VIII and I want to drop the subframe to replace my oil pan gasket and drivers side exhaust manifold. I put a Motor in a Mark VIII years ago, and I remember having the car sitting in my yard forever because I couldnt get the through bolts on the motor mounts out laying on my back in my yard. I eventually took it to a friends shop and just dropped the subframe and engine together and then removed the bolts when it was on the ground. But Ive seen enough pictures of Marks sitting on 4x4 blocks while guys have the subframe out. How do you guys get to the motor mount bolt that holds the engine to the subframe while its in the car?

With a swivel and a long extension.

X2 wiggle sockets are your friend. It's also good to have a nice assortment of extensions.

Ok not trying to be a PITA but what works best in there a short socket with a swivel attached, the short sockets that have the swivel build into the back, or one of those ball swivels attached to a socket? Does anyone know the socket size? Im going to go to the store to buy what I need, I snapped my last swivel a while ago...

If you have a swivel socket, that is even better, but a regular short socket on a swivel will work too. I believe they are 13mm, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
