Just barely got on my scale. I didn't think the cardboard and paint on the hardware was worth taking them out of, just so I could lose them.

Jake thought it was interesting, but could have bought a lot of dog treats instead😂

I figured if I could save a few pounds (sounds like 30 saved), fit a 7 qt pan, not have to lower 1", pay to fix the holes and blast/ repaint the stock K member, I was happy. Now I have to test fit this to the engine with the pan and headers on again. Hopefully this weekend. I'll take pics. Nothing like a stock 5.0 with 1 3/4" headers and 7qt pan pictures. Someone will assume I'm dumb enough to put the stock engine in that way, lol.

Dan, my scales go to 0.001 gram; some things care. :) and object violently if you get it wrong. I'll take a pissed off crack dealer over a liter of mixed acid any day. He Probably won't eat your face off, lol.

Mine both showed up yesterday at work while I was out sick. So I brought them home today. Quality pieces for sure.

Add promised, K member booked to the motor with headers and oil pan on.. there an inch of room between the front of the sump area and the main cross bar and 2.5" from that same bar up to the oil pan. I didn't have my rack or sway bar handy. But it's almost looking like I could lower the motor an inch or more. Interesting...

Now that sounds much more realistic, no way would I expect the K member and arms would weigh 30lbs with the steel it was made from unless it was way underspec. Clearance is more beneficial anyway, take 100lbs off the nose our weight distribution is still 58/42 lol
Is that K member 100 lbs less than stock? Sorry if it’s already been mentioned elsewhere, I missed it.

Edit: Never mind, found it. So, 50.2 vs. 82 LBS a savings of ~ 30 LBS.

Between battery relocation, the AJE K-Member, and a lighter engine, wouldn't it save over 100lbs in the front end?

About the only guys that can save weight on the engine, without a swap to something lighter would be the SBF guys like me. I anticipate losing 150# off the nose of mine and adding 60# to the rear with battery relocation.
