I assume by your screen name (handle?) that you own a '91 thunderbird. If it is a V8, then, it is a 5.0L engine. Allen supercharger kits are made (predominantly) for 4.6L V8 (modular engine).

.....

so what do you have? if you have a 5.0L v8, perhaps you should look into a vortech supercharger.

post a little more information. there's enough technically inclined people on this site to help you out with whatever motor you do have.

:D

ah hah..

well then, that makes a bit more sense! sorry about the blunder :D
(might want to make a signature stating that....might cut down on the responses like mine).

i dunno if he has the whole "personal message' thing on or not..but i would contact mager thom...he's got the an AED kit.

i'm sure he'll be a wealth of knowledge for you.

sorry about the blunder.

you are correct...

anything before 94 had either a 5.0L, like a MUSTANG, or the 3.8 (super coupes did exist till like 95 or something)

94-95 MN-12's have a 4.6L V8 (decent, but hard/more expensive to do PI swap)
96-97 MN-12's have a 4.6L V8

the 96-97 have a better intake manifold design, leading to an additional 10-15 ft-lbs of torque (or so). they are marginally faster (a couple of carlengths in a street race)....they would win in a drag race stock v. stock

click on the link...click on the correct article...you'll get the info you seek

'94 vs '97 Tbird

read the following articles:

**** Allen vs. SVO superchargers ****

**** Things to consider before AED install ****

here's the link to the tech articles page you need.

take a quick hop over to the 5.0L forum and post the info you have on the car and your question. i believe that most of the mustang stuff should work.

double check w/ the 5.0L MN-12ers. Only 5.0L i've messed w/ is my friend's 95 cobra...so i dunno how the tbird 5.0L differs from 5.0L's of the same year...

hope you find all the info you need!

good luck making your birdie fast. got to love the way 5.0L's sound

It works good to me...

Without the AED kit, I ran 15.5's @ 89 mph in the 1/4 mile. The dyno test I had when the car was stock, it made 165 RWHP.

After I installed the AED kit on my '95 LX, I ran 14.23 @ 98 mph and it made 250.2 RWHP and 306.6 RWTQ.

I managed to get the power output to over 275 RWHP and 335 RWTQ, which was good enough for 13.3's @ 103 mph in the 1/4 mile.

Here is my dyno chart.
