I went to Midas today, to get a price on making up my Y pipe replacement for the race car. Just straight pipe from the manifold back 48 inches (not straight bend wise, just no cats, nothing) to meet the rules. They said they could make the 2 pipes up for under $100, without the o2 sensor bungs. Welding in the bungs is no problem for me, and I saw their about $13 a peice (just a quick search). Does this seem outrageous or are they pretty much in line?

Thanks for the info guys,

Brandon

if you can weld why not build it yourself. Just go around to exhaust shops and ask to dif thru there scrap bins. They usually will and you could find all the bends you need.

I have a buddy with a tig welder, he said he wouldnt have a problem welding the bungs in, but he doesnt want to get into making the whole exhaust. Its not that I can weld it, I can get it welded though. Sorry for the mixup.
