My car is nto and will nto be lowered. His tires stick that far out due to the adapters, so they would stick that far out... I think...
I would NOT suggest running that wheel. I have the hub swap as well with 17x9 +24mm offset wheels. They have a frontspacing of 4.06" which leaves them sticking out of the rear about 12mm (1/2") or so. This looks fine from the front of the car but from the rear.....well some like it and most don't. The wheels that you are looking at have a frontspacing of 4.64" which give you an additional 16.25mm or a total of 28-29mm (>1") that would stick out. This would definitely look Dukes of Hazzard-ish. You really need about +45mm of offset to be able to run that 10" wide wheel and make it look good. Hope that helps.
9" wheel = 10" total width/2 = 5"- 0.94"(24mm) = 4.06" Frontspacing
10" wheel = 11" total width/2 = 5.5" - 0.86"(22mm) = 4.64" Frontspacing
Thanks for the info Russell..... What about this rims man?!?!
Good find! I hadn't seen replica FR500 wheels for the '05-08 Mustangs. Those would work pretty well. The 18x10 is real close to working out. If it had about 5mm shaved off then it would work perfect in the rear.
I forgot about that, so that was a good catch. I think even +40mm is very tight. If the bar is the problem then a larger diameter wheel shouldn't make any difference since the wheel is parallel to the bar. The reason that I am going with 19s is that clearance issue though.Russel, that 18x10 would probly work perfectly... I think a +45 is too much for an 18" wheel, it'll hit the bar iirc. Once you get out to 19" or 20" then you can add some offset as the interior barrell will clear.
