I'd like to have this done at my house. at 300,000 my car needs it bad. I bought the spring compressor tool, but im just too chicken to do it. I'm pretty sure i'm gonna drop a valve in the block. I have a monster air compressor and a hose that threads into the plug hole, plus every other tool you might ever need. I also have the seals and valve cover gaskets.

I'm willing to pay cash to someone who has done it before. im also willing to trade for some paint work/dents/bumper repair/wetsand-buff...anything like that you might need. i also have a dynomax catback brand new...whatever.

its something that will have to be done on a weekend, and i need the car on monday with NO exceptions. if the heads need to come off, you will be buried in the back woods. that said, we could make a meet out of it. Im in 01364, right off rt. 2 with a few acres and really cool neighbors.

If something like this sounds like a breeze to you, lemme know

At 300K on a set of 94 heads, I would reccomend just swapping out the heads for the 96+ castings instead of just doing the valve seals. Part of the problem is that on the early heads, ford made the guides too short, so they have a tendency to wear out, which lets the valve wobble a bit. If this has happened to your car (and with that mileage, it likely has) then your brand new valve seals would be leaking again within 10K miles.

a safer way to protect the valve from dropping is to rotate the engine so the piston is at tdc and put in as much 1/4 rope though the sparkplug hole as you can... leave a tail sticking out so you can remove it later, but you can put this in and as long as you dont rotate the engine, you dont have to worry about the valve dropping... if you use the compressor method, pray you dont have a leak and the power goes out... then your in deep doodoo
