Hello

I have a 351W 2100 2bbl. carb. I need to adjust the TV cable.

Should the lower cable position be close at rest or would I have the move the arm to attach?

I think it should be close at rest.

Ideally, it should be at rest with the throttle closed. If it still has a little tension on it with the throttle closed, that will make the trans want to downshift sooner. If it has more slack with the throttle closed, that will make it want to hold the gear, and it will require more gas to force a downshift.

Thanks

Hello

Thanks for the reply. I don't need the trany to down shift.

There was a good distance between the cable end & trany pin.

This is a homemade upper mount, stock cable. The adjuster was adjusted all the way. I unclipped it, Now seems right.

I run this car in 1 & 2 only + R.
