I don't want this to get locked, but I will state again that I have never heard anything bad about Livernois engines. I've never heard of their tuning so I can't really comment about that.

Now my turn since Bill locked the other before I could reply.
Dan Millen-The information that I have is from a trusted source that has been involved with Detriot's automakers and several well known engineering firms within Detriot for several years.
If it is incorrect-then my apologies for that.
But since I do know this person, and the fact that they have never been wrong about things of this nature before-I'll keep my opinion in this matter.

Johnny Langton, I also didn't get a chance to reply to the first post and didn't want to register and come across as someone like you on my first post, but you fired back so I must say that you are an ASSCLOWN!:ztoohot:

I've done business with Livernois Motorsports for a little over 3 years and never had a single problem with anything from their shop. I've had engine work and tuning done. Their service is GREAT and they have a VERY IMPRESSIVE facility with many talented employees not to mention they do EVERYTHING under one roof.

This verbage is borrowed from a flyer I got from them:

Livernois Motorsports began by combining the resources of Livernois Vehicle Development, Stu Evans Motorsports, and Holbrook Enterprises. The combined capabilities of these three unique and well known companies along with our recent partnership with Detroit Speedworks provide Livernois Motorsports with experience that is hard to come by in this industry. This experience allows us to bring the best parts, services, and tuning available to our customers!

Livernois Motorsports is a multi-faceted 36,000 sq. ft. operation offering full-service Racing Engine and High Performance Sales and Service. Livernois has 20 above ground hoists, a complete engine build and machine shop, cylinder head development center, fabrication shop, show quality paint and body facility and vehicle installation center. We also have a fully-stocked parts store, carrying parts for all makes and models. We specialize in complete vehicle and high-tech services and install all the parts we sell.

In addition, Livernois Motorsports has developed and markets a complete line of our own Racing Engines, ranging from high-performance crate engines, Factory Stock, Street Outlaw, Pro-Stock, Circle Track and Marine engines.

Our capabilities include a full range of electrical, exhaust, chassis, fuel system, rear axle, transmission, or custom fabrication and installation work.

Livernois Motorsports also has an in-house airflow development center. Our specialists have developed cylinder heads for national championship caliper racing teams. We have developed sportsman and professional level CNC cylinder head combinations for several engines and cylinder head brands.

Livernois Motorsports has both a Load Bearing Mustang MD1750 Chassis Dynamometer and a mobile Dyno-Jet 248c Chassis Dynamometer. In addition to testing at the shop, this dyno can be set-up at your location. This capability is very popular with car show organizers and car clubs. If you would like to have the dyno at your next show or event, contact us for pricing and availability. We also have a 2000 H.P. Super Flow Engine Dynamometer. We can dyno tune your setup, or provide a unique calibration for your particular combination. This dynamometer capability allows us to sell combinations that work.

We are authorized stocking distributors for companies such as: Ford Racing Performance Parts, Vortech and ATI Superchargers, Pro Turbo and Turbo Technology Turbo Kits, Bassani, MAC, NOS, Nitrous Express, JE and Diamond Pistons, Weldon Fuel Pumps, Accel DFI, Speed-Pro, and FAST Fuel Injection Systems, BMR and Maximum Motorsports Suspension, Gale Banks, and many other nationally known high-performance parts brands.

We sponsor racing events such as the Friday Night Street Race at Milan Dragway and ARCA events at Toledo and Flatrock Speedway and racers such as Dan Millen and Roxanne Shepard.........

There was more, but this covers it. I think it's pretty impressive when you can have everything done from start to finish at a single shop.

With all of these capabilities do you truly believe that they can't build their own motors? If so, I guess you really must believe everything you hear from other people and I'd watch the rumors i spread from this trusted source, because it makes you look like an idiot!

Johnny,

I'm not sure where you get your information, but as I said in my last post every sentence you said about our company is COMPLETELY inaccurate! Why don't you give me a call at 313-561-5500.

Sincerely,

Dan Millen

It's good to get input on things, but in the end the individual must make the final decision. Chuacw, you can sit hear listen to both sides. I really don't know Livernois Motorsports, I do know JL gives good info, but it is ultimately up to you to decide. I personnally gather peoples inputs about something, but never discount a company just on hear-say. Even if it is reliable, it maybe from a situation that neither group could satisfactorily resolve. Besides no decision should ultimately be made right here.
I'll shut the hell up now......:leftright

I never meant this to turn into a huge argument. I have nothing but the upmost respect for Johnny. He know more about these engines than 99% of the people on this board. No offense if I've said something to offend you and I can say that I'm sorry if I did.
