I need to pass my emissions inspection and i was told to mix 5 gallons of high octane fuel and a bottle of rubbing alcohol in together and i would pretty much pass inspection, i was wondering if thise would actually work and if you had any pointers that could also help me, im not too wise as far as cars come so dont try to get too complicated on me.

yeah i definitly am, i went in for inspection 2 months ago failed and am thinking about going tomorrow, so im driving an illegal cougar, which i dont really care, but have gotten one ticket so far for it ($95), i went to firestone and they said it needs a new distributor or something along those lines, but thast besides the point, i have no money to get the work done and i need to pass inspection, there isnt like smoke pluming out the exhuast but it cant pass thats all.

ahha...distributor on a 4.6, nice one. anyway, what year is this car? i would go find a shop that is shady and give them $50 to do it. you could have o2 sensors bad, converters bad, an engine that just isn't running right. there are a ton of things, is it throwing a "check engine" light now?

thats the thing, i have already found myself a shady car inspection place and they will pass my car for the $1500 worth of work that needs done to it, (ball joint, rack and pinion, some strut bar, and some engine work because the engine shakes like a mofo) but they cant pass my emissions for me becasue it connects directly to the state computers. And no there arent any lights on.

Park it, and work your *** off. This car is obviously NOT supposed to be on the road if it needs $1500 worth of work.

And by shady shop, ask around and see if you cn get someone to just write the inspection sticker out. I know its illegal, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
