I like my Cougar but one thing I miss from my last DD is auto-down power window. is there a compatable switch panel I can swap in or am I just SOL on having that?
Actually no. The auto down function is triggered by the duration that the switch contact is closed, not by a separate set of switch contacts.AlpineBird said:i thought you would need a switch from a car that already had it, becuase cars with the auto down window have a switch that clicks down past just pushing it down to open it........and our stock switches dont click down any further.
so with that being said, how could you use your existing switch and have the window know what you wanna do?? for instance opening just a little, or auto roll down.
youd have to replace the switch wouldnt u?
Was this a stock option? I know mine doesn't have it...but my friend's 97 Sport does...?thumphed said:still, no thoughts on the auto moonroof open? im really wantin to know about this ...
That's not true on the Mark VIII's - it's definitely a second position. I thoroughly tested this, and it's position dependent, not time dependent.tbirdbrain said:The auto down function is triggered by the duration that the switch contact is closed, not by a separate set of switch contacts.
Any existing window switch will be just fine.
I forgot about posting this question.... thx for the link, I'm picking up two to play with, one for my driver's side and one for my passenger side.tbirdbrain said:Here is a link for Pony Performance. They sell a one touch kit for $27. No switch changes needed.
