Will probably be a total and I don't think it's worth buying back and then repairing. And it will most likely be my fault although insurance said it was a strange circumstance because technically he hit me, but I also made a quick left turn not realizing he was in my blind spot. Whatever...stuff happens... I just don't know if I can handle losing the car. I love it.
Just had to share/vent. Thanks for reading.

I am considering selling the Xenon kit. Recently I took the front and rear off because for me personally they were a pain to get to look right. But I kept the sides on and actually liked it. I am planning on removing the sides now and check for damage on the one piece and then I'll list em for what I think their worth. Thanks for the interest!

Hmm...this has me thinking now.....remove 3.8 put in 5.0? I dunno...lol

i'd swap your good tires over to it at least (if possible). i had a good 3.8l 4r70w that i scrapped but you'd need AOD anyways. good luck with the insurance folks. if you decide to part it or whatever let me know.

Sorry for your loss.

I've been mulling over selling my '96.
Would you be interestered?

That looks like a pretty good hit. It certainly could be fixed, but you would probably be better off to find a clean shell and use your current car as a parts car to fix it.

I've been there before. I was able to have my insurance pay to fix it. They tried to total it out, but I made them realize that they were using the wrong specs for my car. It was worth more than they had originally thought. I was t boned on the passenger side at roughly 25 MPH. Caused $2200 in body damage.

It doesn't look like the door needs to be replaced, mine did. Looks like all you need is a rear quarter, glass, and new tire.

All in all, it all depends on how attached to the car you are. I was really attached to mine and will always be.

mine got totaled out on Friday. Lady in a white van pulled out right in front of me and I tboned her.

On average, how much does it cost to buy the car back from the insurance. This bird's drive train might live on in another vehicle.

If your Mileage is under 100,000 they won't Total it..If you have over 100,000 they probably will Total it out..Just because of the spot that got damaged...A body shop is probably gonna quote something like $5000-$6000..Which of course to the insurance..Is more than your car is worth..If the Insurance Adjuster has'nt seen the car, and checked the Mileage..If you would like to keep the car..Swap the Speedo out for a lower Mileage one..

The only way to keep your MN12 from getting totalled out in an accident..Similiar to the one you had..Is to get Special Insurance put on it..Something like "Grundy Insurance"..Only thing is..I do believe there are Mileage Restrictions...As far as how many Miles you can put on your MN12 every year...It varies from one Insurance company to the next..

I do know RaceCougar and Trunk Monkey both have some sort of Special Insurance.. That would actually prevent some joe-shmo Insurance Company from Totalling out their MN12..If they ever got into an accident similiar to yours..I've actually thought about getting some of this "Collector Car Insurance" myself...I Just havn't got around to it yet..

PS:Sorry for your loss...Don't go buy a Mustang now.. :D
