Just out of curiosity, would there be a downside to putting a SC on a bored block...say 30 over or so? With all forged internals, etc, etc...Just wondering if that would be bad, good, or wouldn't make a hill of beans difference, strength wise. Thanks

Joe

what's the biggest you can safely bore out a 4.6 to without jepordizing the stuctural integraty of the block?

There are big bore kits that will bring it all the way to 3.7", or about .150 over, but that requires alot of work. I wouldn't bore it at all. It's not worth doing it for .030, and new blocks are cheaper than boring your old one anyway.

Well, I was planning on a new block anyway, and figured with maybe a bit over bore I could get some extra gains out of it. But if it's not even worth going that way I'll just stay stock size. Thanks for the input. Joe
