Greetings, I occasionally lurk around here, I usually hang out on the crownvic forums. I have a question for all the AED people here.

Do any of you run aftermarket cams on your AED motors? I see dyno graphs of PI cammed motors with AED's making about 300hp, and close to 400rwtq, while thats all good, I'd prefer to move the power band up a little bit, if anyone has any good info, or mabey even dyno graphs I could look at, it would be greatly appreciated!

Enkay,

Many do run aftermarket cams with their AED kit. Check with Rudy Hartmann, Mike Siska, Wolverine27, and others.

I know Mike Siska takes his current engine combo to 6,500 rpm and he still has power there (like 500 RWHP). Camshafts are listed as ModMax with ported Fox Lake PI heads. Maybe he'll post a dyno graph for you.

Even when using the Eaton M90S and a 2.25" blower pulley, his PI cammed 4.6L made a peak RWHP of 369.1 but held 367 RWHP from 5,400 rpm to 6,000 rpm. After 6,000 rpm, power started falling off fast.

Wolverine27 claims 352 RWHP with the AED kit and aftermarket cams/ported heads but I have yet to see a dyno graph proving this statement to be true.

I know Rudy runs a serious combo with his AED kit, but I don't recall if he has an
up-to-date dyno graph.
