I drove one of those. The svt is pretty sweet. That six really gets up and goes. It's got a high redline that begs 2nd and 3rd gear chirps.

And SVT is not just about a peak horsepower number, although I guess that's all you would care about. SVT focuses on the whole package; exterior, interior, handling, braking, acceleration, etc. The whole car is pretty sweet compared to a non-SVT.

Thats why I picked one up. The kids in this town arnt even going to know what it is. And thats what I want, it got kinda tireing in my cougar sitten at a light with a punk kid always talking crap and wanting to race.. I like to keep my racing at the track, so mayb the kids will shut up?? But thats not the real reason I bought the car. I got it because my cougar had 190,000 miles and I wasnt too sure how much longer she would last. Also, I needed a car that I could put a couple friends in and drive up to chicago with out filling up 3 times. I got all of that and still have a quick lil car. Im haven it delevered to my house on tuesday so I will try my best to get pics. Thanks guys.

I've been told the exhaust note is pretty raspy and cool in the higher RPMs, especially after you've been in "performance driving mode" and it's all nice and hot. ;)

Sweet pics! I'd swap out those rims though. The FRPP catalog has some really sweet rims for the Contour/Cougar.
Also, shoshop.com has some really nice parts for the SVT Contour, and right now they're working on Stage 2 and 3 power packages as well as a 3.5 liter upgrade package....if you ever feel the need to play with it that is. :D

I wouldn't mind an SVT Contour. There's times I wish I had gotten another car for daily driver instead of my Ranger. Only problem is having a daily driver that's faster than my weekend car :D

Looks nice - cept for the rims. I don't exactly like the rims, but the rest looks good.

1Bad-95Cougar,

Get in touch with 91hellcat. He just got a SVT Contour as well. He would love to talk to you about your car.

By the way... the car looks awesome!
